Terms of Service

By creating an account or buying from Voxtale you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Who can use Voxtale

You must be at least 18. Adults may let their own children listen to audio they have made. Do not enter personal information about children.

2. Your account

Sign-in is by a one-time code sent to your email. Keep your inbox secure and do not share sign-in codes. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time from Account in the app. Deleting it ends any active subscription immediately, so the rest of the period you paid for is not refunded, and it forfeits unused credits.

3. Your stories and your rights

You promise that you wrote the text you paste, that it is in the public domain, or that you have permission to use it to make personal-listening audio, and that it does not break the law or anyone’s rights. You give us a limited license to process your text, including by sending it to our AI providers, solely to make your audio. We claim no ownership of your text. To the extent any rights exist in the audio, they are yours, for personal use. You agree to defend and reimburse us for third-party claims arising from text you submit or from your breach of these terms, to the extent the law allows.

4. AI-generated content

All audio is generated by AI. It may contain mistakes, mispronunciations or unexpected sounds, and we do not guarantee any result. Voices are synthetic and are not designed to imitate real people. Do not use Voxtale for illegal content, hateful or harassing content, sexual content involving minors, impersonation, to mislead others with the audio, or to scrape, overload or attack the service. We may refuse or suspend accounts that do.

5. Credits, prices and renewal

Credits pay for stories. A story uses one credit for each 1,500 characters (or part of 1,500) in Narrated style, two in Drama style and three in Cinematic style; the app shows the exact cost before you create. For example, a 3,000-character story in Drama style uses 4 credits. If a story fails to generate, the credits are returned to your balance automatically. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred. Unused credits stay in your account and do not expire while your account is open.

Prices: Starter $4.99/month (6 credits), Monthly $6.99/month (10 credits), Yearly $79/year (120 credits), and a one-time Story Pack $3.99 (5 credits). Prices are listed in US dollars and sales tax is added where required; in some countries (for example India) prices are shown in local currency with taxes included. There are no free credits.

Automatic renewal. Starter, Monthly and Yearly renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price until you cancel, and you agree to this separately before you pay. The Story Pack is one-time and does not renew. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect, and you can cancel before it applies. For yearly plans we also email you a reminder 15 to 45 days before each renewal.

How to cancel. Cancel anytime from Account in the app (Manage subscription), or with the link in your receipt email. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the paid period.

6. Payments and refunds

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. It handles payment, tax and invoices, and provides customer service for orders and returns. Paddle’s buyer terms apply to your purchase. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

7. Copyright

If you believe content infringes your copyright, see our DMCA page.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$50. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct, or anything else the law does not allow to be limited. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your account if you break these terms, and we will tell you why when we can. If we end your account for breaking these terms, unused credits are forfeited. If we end it for any other reason, we will refund the unused part of your current paid period. You may stop using Voxtale and delete your account at any time.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that you keep the protections of the consumer laws of the state or country where you live. There is no arbitration clause and no class-action waiver. You may bring a claim in the small-claims court where you live. Where the law allows, any other claim must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

11. Changes and contact
